1. Who we are

2. Data processed in the app (on your device)
Your session files are processed locally on your device and stored on your device so sessions persist between launches. This data is not transmitted to us and we cannot see it, unless you use an optional feature below.
3. Optional cloud sync & backup (Pro)
If you turn on cloud sync, the data you choose to sync is stored with our hosting provider so your account works across devices. Team features also store the raw telemetry you choose to publish. You can disable sync and request deletion of synced data at any time, subject to the Team retention and access rules below.
4. Account data
If you create an account, we process your email, authentication details, subscription status, and the IP address observed when the account is created. The signup IP is stored with your private account profile, can be accessed only by you and authorized administrators, and follows the account-data retention period in section 8. We do not automatically derive or store a country. If an administrator deliberately selects “Look up via country.is,” our authenticated backend sends the signup IP to country.is and displays its approximate network-country result; country.is states that it does not log requests. This result can be wrong, particularly for VPNs, relays, and mobile networks, and does not establish nationality or residence. Payments are handled by the Apple AppStore and Google Play Store; we do not store your card details.
5. Shareable lap links
Creating a share link uploads that lap's summary to our servers, where it is stored and served to anyone who opens the link. Share links do not expire and cannot be revoked from the app, so don't share a lap you consider private. Email us if you need a shared lap removed.
6. Website data
Our website may collect anonamized analytics, contact-form submissions, and cookies.
7. Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, or portability, and object to processing. Email [email protected]. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
8. Retention, security, children & transfers
Website/account data, including the signup IP, is kept while your account is active and during the 30-day account-deletion grace period, then deleted; on-device data lives only on your device. Team raw telemetry, versioned derived data, and operational audit records follow the published Team retention policy. We use reasonable safeguards. Not directed to children under 16.
9. Team cloud storage and analysis
Team raw telemetry is stored in cloud Storage and processed by LapperSnapper's native worker. The worker produces versioned derived snapshots and reports; operational audit records are retained under the applicable published policy. In v1, Team Race Engineer sends neither raw telemetry nor snapshots to a generative-AI provider.
10. Team access, retention, deletion and export
Team owners and staff — coaches and mechanics — can access Team sessions according to their role. A connected driver's sharing can be revoked; Team-created sessions remain Team property, while driver-shared sessions are removed from Team access when their share is revoked. Account and Team deletion, and available exports, follow the in-app flow and published retention policy; a fair-use control does not silently delete existing Team history.
